The Centre Island Bird Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) organization with a commitment to fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for avian conservation through education. They operate on the water, providing guided birdwatching tours that explore the waters of Long Island. They hope to share the beauty (and love) of birding with you! SailAhead is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 2013 that is dedicated to using sailing as a therapeutic platform to help heal wounded veterans, especially those suffering from post-traumatic stress. SailAhead has been creating sailing opportunities for veterans all around Long Island, and in Buffalo Harbor and the Puget Sound out of Tacoma Washington.
