Meet Sophia, a graceful Hinckley Sou’wester 51 keel-centerboard sloop, designed by McCurdy and Rhodes and crafted in 1987 by Henry R. Hinckley & Company. One of just twenty-four in her series, Sophia—originally named Lancer—embodies the elegance and performance Hinckley is known for. A true icon, Sophia was the covergirl of Hinckley publications throughout the late '80s and early '90s.

With her classic lines, solid fiberglass construction, and versatile centerboard design, Sophia is as capable offshore as she is stunning at anchor. Today, she is proudly maintained by the Stirling Harbor Foundation, ensuring she continues to sail in peak form and style.
